Clearly, the signals coming from Washington as the White House and Congress push forward transformative policy and budgeting proposals indicate need for renewed emphasis on locally-resourced efforts to provide those in need with necessities (i.e., food, housing, medical care).
Many States will likely carry on with this trend, especially as they grapple with serious challenges initiated by the direction Congress is currently taking next year’s Federal Budget. Whether you agree with this direction or not, our ability to adapt in our neighborhoods and communities to this emerging reality is essential.
Our duty to our neighbors, near and far, should be an immutable, personal commitment. Society, outside of government, will be tasked with this responsibility to a greater degree, and the call must be answered if we are committed to our moral obligations as individuals and we seek to maintain civility and avoid violent disruption.
However you can be there for your neighbors in helping them maintain access to the necessities, please do so.
Suggestions for Job/Career Seekers
Starting tomorrow, I will be posting daily my suggestions (advice) for individuals starting their professional journeys (or looking for work once again). I hope I can offer some value based on my own experiences and lessons learned. The first several posts will focus on the mindset of an ideal candidate, which is key to anyone’s ability to get the job they are seeking, especially in today’s challenging labor market.
